UK relaxes carry on luggage restrictions
The United Kingdom's Department for Transport yesterday introduced new security controls for carry on baggage for flights out of the UK. The size of bag that can be carried on board has now been increased to a maximum of 56 cm by 45 cm by 25 cm which is in line with most low cost airline requirements. It will also allow the carriage of musical instruments. The ban on liquids except for essential medicines and babies' milk remains. Full details can be found on the DfT website.
