Some of the routes start in December, but some start later in January or February. The Ryanair press release claims the airline is becoming Ireland's leading Airline as it overtakes Aer Lingus . Passengers prefer Ryanair as their fares are much lower than that of Aer Lingus, and with the 12 new routes Ryanair are will be carrying many more customers.
