After delays get an operating license from London Luton to Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International easyJet, will start flying the route on Tuesday 1 August 2006. It will offer three flights per week throughout August and increase frequency to daily on 4 September 2006.
The new route to Istanbul is easyJet's second. It has been operating to Sabiha Gokcen International from Basel since 29 May 2006. Istanbul is where Europe meets Asia across the Bosphorus, in fact Sabiha Gokcen International is on the Asian side.
