Vueling adds Barcelona <> Granada
Vueling the low cost Spanish Airline is to connect Barcelona and Granada from 29 June 2006. This will enable a quick, cheap connection between two of Spain's most beautiful cities. Granada owes much to the period when the Moors occupied Spain. La Alhambra was built by the Moors and comprises a red fortress ringed with cypresses. Inside is the amazing Nasrid Palace with its exquisite gardens. The site was declareda UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984.Another UNESCO World Heritage site can be found at El Albaicín, the old administrativee quarter of the city. Prior to the Moors it was occupied by the Iberians and the Romans. The streets and squares have some inspiring Moorish architecture.
There is plenty more to see in Granada from the Gothic cathedral or experiencing a Hammam (Arabic Bath) to shopping.
